Lion’s Mane

Latin name: Hericium erinaceus

Many know this mushroom for it’s potential brain benefiting actions, like boosting your memory and also stimulating NGF (nerve growth factor), which can help regenerate nerves and block some pain receptors.

Culinarily, this mushroom’s texture resembles that of crab meat and makes a great substitute for it! Try it in crab cakes or as breaded nuggets, you won’t be disappointed. We always suggest just sautéing mushrooms in a pan, if you haven’t tried them before, to understand their complex flavors. However, skip the addition of oil in the pan for this mushroom!
