Phoenix Oyster

Latin name: Pleurotus pulmonarius

This velvety and tender but meaty mushroom has a sweet and mild flavor. Try frying, sautéing, or boiling this mushroom for soups, stews, pasta (our favorite), pizza, sandwiches, or casseroles.

Lovely source off protein and amino acids as well as vitamins and minerals.

The health benefits are plenty with this mushroom. Studies have shown it to improve sensitivity to certain chemo drugs and has shown to have an anti-proliferative effect (inhibit tumor cell growth). Experiencing symptoms of rhinitis? Try phoenix oyster!

Benefits of mushrooms usually take 2-4 weeks before starting to be noticeable.

So don’t give up and keep feeding your body the fungi!
